The H.O.R.S.E. fields are famous for having a ton of big names, but it had to be slightly astonishing to some to see so many high profile players still alive heading into the final day of play. Our chip leader coming in was no less than John Juanda, who is having quite the run here at the 2010 WSOP. David Baker, Phil Ivey, and Bill Chen were three notable names amongst the field of 25 that also sat behind rather dreadful stacks to start the day, and as soon as the cards hit the air, the drama goes off.
Especially on the first hand of play, our first of 25 victims was claimed in George Trigeorgis. John Juanda has been on sail control again on Day 3, laughing it up after every pot. It’s not hard to find delight in the game when you’re raking in every pot, and Juanda has done just that. At the moment, it’s a two horse race between him and Ryan Hughes for the chip lead.
